On October 19, Post delivered the text of the letter from Secretary
Clinton regarding the September 26 Food Security event held in New
York as well as the joint proposal submitted by Secretary Clinton
and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on "Partnering for Food
Security: Moving Forward" to the Mauritius Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. In a follow-up conversation on October 27 Second Secretary
Alam Koodoruth of the Ministry's Economic Directorate told Emboff
that the proposal is currently being reviewed by the Ministry of
Agro-Industry, Food Production and Security. Post will report
comments, if any, via septel.
