Begin letter text:
Excellency:
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of
Thailand, I wish to extend to you my sincere congratulations
upon the decision of The Norwegian Nobel Prize Committee to
award you with the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.
Your vision on peace has inspired many and your appeal for
shared global responsibility in face of common and real
challenges has encouraged governments and leaders to act.
As both the United States' treaty ally and major non-NATO
ally, Thailand shares your hope for a better world. On this
176th year of our enduring bilateral relations, Thailand
reaffirms its commitment to further strengthen all dimensions
of the enhanced partnership with the United States. Thailand
is ready to be your partner in seeking a new way forward for
the peace and prosperity of the Asia Pacific region and the
world.
With my best regards,
/s/ Abhisit Vejjajiva
Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand.
End text.
