1. (SBU) By request of reftel, RSO Helm met with the Chief of
Mauritius' Radiological Protection Authority (RPA), Faradally
Abdoulla Ollite, to ascertain his agency's interest and
cooperation regarding the identification of high-risk and
vulnerable radioactive sources in use or in storage. Ollite
stated he has already communicated with Brian Waud and looks
forward to Waud's upcoming visit. He stated his organization
is open to an assessment regarding improving, if need be,
their current methods of use and storage.
