1. (SBU) In a December 15 meeting with PolOff, the Director
for International Organizations in the Ministry of External
Relations, Ambassador Adolphe Nahayo, said that he would
encourage Burundi's U.N. Ambassador to support the U.S.
proposal considering harmonized conditions of service and
streamlined contractual arrangements at the United Nations.
