1. On September 8, Econoff passed non-paper transmitted
reftel to a representative of Udi Levi, Director of the
National Security Council's (NSC) Bureau of Counterterrorism
Finance. Econoff's GOI contact promised to transmit the
non-paper via secure fax to Ariel Shafransky, Deputy Director
for Counterterrorism at the MFA.
2. Econoff informed GOI that the USG was in the process of
passing the information to other friendly countries that
might have the ability to act upon it. Udi Levi's
representative expressed appreciation for the information
itself and especially for the USG's initiative to share such
information with other countries. He was supportive of
taking strong measures against any of the malfeasant
activities cited in the paper.
