1. (U) This message contains an action request in paragraph
3.
2. (U) PolOff informed MFA Director for Multilateral
Affairs Svetlana Geleva, per reftel, that India and Jordan
are new partner nations to the Global Initiative to Combat
Nuclear Terrorism (GI). In response to reftel's request for
information, Geleva noted that she would remain Macedonia's
GI Point of Contact.
3. (U) Geleva noted that Macedonia is improperly
identified as the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on
the State Department's list of GI partner nations at
www.state.gov/t/isn/105955.htm Action request: Please
update the list of GI partner nations list at the above
referenced website to "Macedonia" or "Republic of Macedonia"
-- the names by which as the U.S has formally recognized the
country since November 4, 2004.
