1. As per reftel, the following is the outcome and expenditure
report for post's participation at the Singapore Airshow, February
19-24, 2008:
Program outcome and follow-up
-----------------------------
Post participated in the Asia Now showtime one-on-one meetings with
U.S. companies at the Airshow. Ambassador Emil Skodon and
Commercial Assistant Josephine Chan attended a total of eight
showtime meetings. All eight new contacts were counseled on
Brunei's market conditions and entry prospects. Ambassador also met
with several U.S. aerospace defense companies to discuss prospects
for aerial defence products in Brunei.
Commercial Assistant attended a one-day Commercial Service Aerospace
Team training.
Post is pleased to report that following the Asia Now showtime
meetings, two U.S. companies have been in touch with Brunei
companies on sales prospects, with a lead for a future SCP.
