pre-license check for the export of a propellant grain test
system to Egypt via South Korea. Post is requested to
complete this Blue Lantern check within 30 days. Lack of
response to a Blue Lantern check will affect pending and
future licenses involving parties to this license.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Sub-contractor company Hanwha Corporation together with main
contractor company Samsung Techwin is providing a 155 mm 52
caliber howitzer establishment program for three years
production line at Abu Zaabal Company for Specialty Chemicals
in Cairo. The Strand Burner System will be used for testing
composite propellant grains at Abu Zaabal Company in relation
to the production of 155 mm ammunition projectiles. Hanwha
is procuring the Strand Burner System and shipping it
directly to Abu Zaabal Company as part of a package program
for the 155 mm 52 caliber howitzer project.

dated November 20.2007, signed by D.H.Han(Mr.), Manager/
Purchasing Team, Hanwha Corporation.
B) U.S. Department of State DDTC DSP-83 Non-Transfer and Use
Certificate, signed by Said A. Ragab (dated October 10,
2007), Production Director, Abu Zaabal Company For Specialty
Chemicals.
