1. Per reftel, post contacted the Defense Acquisition Program
Administration (DAPA) and LIG NEX 1 by email, phone and fax.
2. On March 21, 2008 Navy Commander Hokun, Yoo of the PKX-A Team at
DAPA confirmed by e-mail that DAPA ordered the items listed in DTC
Case No. 050090721. The items will equip a ROK Navy vessel named
"KDX-3" (Korean Destroy Experimental) - part of the Sonata project.
Byung Hyun KWON, Senior Manager of Purchasing Team and Sung Woog,
JANG, Manager of Purchasing Team at LIG Nex 1 reported that it
expects to complete the assembly of the "KDX-3" and deliver it to
the ROK Navy in 2012.
3. DAPA also confirmed that it had ordered the items under DTC Case
No. 05-050090722. The DPT-8076, RF Amplifier will equip a ROK Navy
patrol named "PKX-A" (Patrol Killer Experimental). LIG NEX 1
expects to deliver the completed equipment to the ROK Navy by 2009.
4. Per reftel, Post will forward by email a list of all LIG Nex 1
personnel authorized to procure USML items. The list was provided
by Mr. Byung Hyun Kwon that signed the above contracts on behalf of
the company. Post reiterated the US restrictions regarding the
unauthorized re-export or retransfer of USML items to Mr. Kwon.
Post was informed that all LIG NEX1 personnel fully acknowledge USML
restrictions and their importance.
5. Post also reports that the correct telephone number of Mr. Byung
Hyun, KWON at LIG Nex 1 is (02)2033-0341.
