1. On March 26, Embassy Freetown delivered a diplomatic note
to the Sierra Leone Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
International Cooperation to inform them of the appointment
of Lincoln P. Bloomfield, Jr. as the Special Envoy for
MANPADS. Post also provided relevant background information
on efforts being made by the U.S. to combat the MANPADS
threat.
