1. Embassy Manila nominates Political Officer Barry Fullerton
to attend the DRL and DOL training on forced labor and child
labor in Bangkok from March 27-28, 2008. Mr. Fullerton is
the primary reporting officer for labor, human rights, and
trafficking in persons issues and will handle the upcoming
Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act required
list of goods produced by child labor or forced labor in
violation of international standards. He will depart Manila
for his next assignment in the summer of 2008.
2. Per reftel guidance, Post requests DOL funding to support
travel, per diem, lodging, and other expenses for Mr.
Fullerton. Estimated cost for a round-trip economy class
ticket between Manila and Bangkok is $401.
