1. PolOff delivered reftel talking points to Minister Manuel
Fernandez Salorio and Secretary Ana Ghigginio in the
Argentine MFA's Office for International Affairs (DIOIN).
Fernandez noted that the vote in the Fourth Committee was
very similar to last year's and that Argentina voted, as it
did the previous year, for 61/22 and 61/23, and abstained on
61/116.
2. On a related issue, Fernandez informed that Argentina
supported in Second Committee an Israeli-initiated resolution
on Agricultural Technology for Development. He noted that
the U.S. was a co-sponsor and that Argentina was considering
co-sponsoring the resolution.
