Post shared reftel talking points with the Ministry of European and
International Affairs (MEIA). On October 29, Walter Howadt from the
MEIA Office for Environment, Energy and Transportation told us that
the GoA had already expected the U.S. candidacy for IMO Council. He
confirmed that Austria will support re-election of the USG
candidate.
