1. This message contains an action item for Embassy
Stockholm (para 3).
2. Post attempted to confirm the order listed reftel with
the Defense Science and Technology Agency (DSTA). (Note:
DSTA is a Singapore government statutory board that manages
acquisitions and research and development for the Ministry of
Defense). A DSTA representative told Econoff that it would
be impossible to confirm the order without the DSTA purchase
order number. Econoff relayed this information to PM/DTTC
(ref C). However, the DSTA purchase number was apparently
not included in the license application.
3. Action item: Post requests that Embassy Stockholm ask
Kockums AB Shipyard to provide the DSTA purchase order
associated with this transaction.
