(SBU) On July 27, poloff delivered reftel demarche to Mame
Baba Cisse, Director for International Affairs at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Cisse said that as yet no
decision had been made but he is sure, "Insallah" that
President and Mrs. Wade, Foreign Minister and Mrs. Gadio and
himself will attend. President Wade has attended every
General Assembly meeting since his election in 2000 and Cisse
informed us that he has also been invited by UN
Secretary-General Ban to attend a September 23 conference on
SIPDIS
climate change. He added that he would provide us all the
requested information in early September once the delegation
has been finalized.
