(SBU) On May 17, Poloff delivered the revised U.S. proposals for the
ASEAN Regional Forum to MFA ASEAN Department Assistant Director Vu
Ho. While Ho did not yet have a substantive response to the revised
texts, he indicated that the GVN is studying the initiatives and
that the texts would receive further consideration by MFA leadership
prior to the ARF Senior Officials Meeting in Manila.
