DCM on March 15 discussed proposed United Nations' reforms
to its internal system of Administration of Justice with
Ambassador Adolphe Nahayo, Director for International
Organizations at Burundi's Ministry of External Relations and
Cooperation. Ambassador Nahayo agreed on the need to study
carefully all consequences, both direct and indirect, of the
proposals, and he undertook to forward the U.S. position to
Burundi's mission in New York. Nahayo also noted that
Burundi's new Deputy Chief of Mission, Hermenegilde
Nkurabagaya, plans to leave Burundi for New York on March 16
to begin his posting at their UN mission.
