In response to the above reftel the following is a brief
explanation of the USAID program in FY05 that was
supportive of the GIFT objectives.
Project Name: Linkages for the Economic Advancement of the
Disadvantaged
Recipient: Development Alternatives, Inc.
Project Description: Using local NGOs to increase access to
information and communication technology.
IT Component: Provision of computers, communications and
office equipment to enable disadvantaged Zimbabweans to have
better acccess to sources of information, including business
information.
FY 05 Funding: US $9085.00
