SUBJECT: SOUTHEAST TURKEY PRESS SUMMARY APRIL 22, 2004
This is the Southeastern Turkey press summary for April 22,

POLITICAL, SECURITY, HUMAN RIGHTS
Ulkede Gundem / In Cizre, Sirnak, two DEHAP members were stabbed
by six unidentified attackers. It is reported that Turkish
soldiers detained four of the attackers.
CULTURE and TOURISM
Hurriyet / The historical caves in Hasankeyf, Batman Province,
will be used as hotels, cafes and restaurants. The GoT Tourism
and Culture Director announced that the Turkish Government soon
would approve a budget for the project.
