POLITICAL, SECURITY, HUMAN RIGHTS
Ulkede Gundem / In Siirt, twenty people were sued by the Siirt
public prosecutor for using "x, w and q" on their posters for
Newroz Day.
Ulkede Gundem / In Van and Hakkari, military officials requested
photographs from all local residents.
Turkiye / DEHAP Diyarbakir Head Celalettin Birtane was detained
by the police for praising PKK in one of his open speeches to
the public.
ECONOMIC
Hurriyet Cukurova / Hatay Governor Abdulkadir Sari announced a
new dam project between Syria and Turkey.
Yeni Safak / In Anamur, Mersin, Alakopru Dam will provide
drinking water for Northern Cyprus when completed.
