SUBJECT: Colombo Plan: Drug Advisory Program proposed
projects and funding for FY 2003
1. The Colombo Plan's Drug Advisory Program (DAP)
submitted to Mission a budget proposal of USD 250,000
for fiscal year 2003. DAP's proposed budget includes
funding for the following projects:
A. Training for South Asian Law Enforcement Officers on
Counter-narcotics, USD 110,000
B. Regional Seminar/Workshop on the Role of Faith-Based
Organizations and Spirituality in Drug Demand Reduction,
USD 65,000
C. Asian Cities Against Drugs, USD 75,000.
2. Mission forwarded, via unclassified pouch, the
proposal packet to INL/C/CJ.
