It is with great pleasure that the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, and the Powerhouse Museum in collaboration with Intel Corporation announce the world-wide release of the web site '1000 years of the Olympic Games: treasures of ancient Greece'.

This web site is a rich complex scholastic and visual material. Through the site explore the six levels, including the full screen panoramas of the virtual reconstruction of Olympia, the archaeological site, and the 3D statues from the Temple of Zeus. Extensive use is made of zoomable images, 3D objects and audio.

The site was designed for high bandwidth users, and is optimised for Pentium III.
