Canterbury Crusaders Do It Again!
'Threepeat' Victory Street Parade
Tuesday 30th May, ~12.30-1.30pm
The Canterbury Crusaders have won the Super 12 rugby final against ACT Brumbies in a nail-biting game played last night at Bruce Stadium in Canberra.
Cantabrians were poised on the edge of their seats as they watched Todd Blackadder. lead the team to win their third consecutive Super 12 with the final score being 20-19.
A victory parade will be held this Tuesday 30th May, beginning at the Moorhouse Ave and Colombo Street intersection at 12.30pm, continuing along Colombo Street and finishing in Cathedral Square around 1.30pm.
"Tuesday will be an opportunity for Cantabrians to come out in their thousands to celebrate this Super 12 Victory against the odds" says Christchurch City Council Leisure Manager Alistair Graham.
A map detailing the parade route will be released tomorrow (Monday 29th) including information about special bus and mobility parking. Cantabrians are encouraged to wear the team colours, and the parade will be held in rain or shine.
