RoamAD Wireless Networks Get Taiwanese Tick Of Approval
RoamAD’s multi-radio wireless nodes have received Taiwanese NCC Type Approval following successful commercial deployment in Taiwan
Auckland, NEW ZEALAND–December 18, 2008–RoamAD today announced the general availability of its converged wireless network solutions for the Taiwanese market following the grant of NCC Type Approval earlier this month.
RoamAD networks are now available in Taiwan through its partners aCure Technology and Taiwanese distributor T-COM Tech Co Ltd.
Earlier this year, T-COM completed the deployment of a multi-spectrum, infrastructure-mesh RoamAD network at a large power plant in Taiwan. The RoamAD network is used to backhaul voice traffic.
``Using RoamAD’s network solution, we were able to cost-effectively deploy a wireless network in a difficult radio frequency environment, yet still maintain quality of service and low latency across multiple hops for perfect voice quality,’’ said Oscar Huang, General Manager T-COM Tech Co Ltd.
Taiwan represents a significant market opportunity for RoamAD.
``RoamAD looks forward to bringing highly flexible, next-generation wireless networks to Taiwan’s nearly 23 million people,’’ said Martyn Levy, CEO, RoamAD.
``Taiwan will also serve as a beachhead into the Chinese market,’’ added Levy.
