Computerworld Excellence Awards 2008 Open for Entries
The Computerworld Excellence Awards is calling for entries from ICT professionals who can demonstrate an outstanding
application of technology. Recognised as the country's leading ICT awards programme, thirteen categories are now open to
find New Zealand's top ICT talent. Individuals and teams that win will receive national acclaim as the country's best
and these awards are a highly sought after accolade amongst ICT professionals.
To reflect the changing drivers and challenges of the ICT industry, Computerworld has introduced awards for the ICT
Educator of the Year, Excellence in Infrastructure Innovation and Best Sustainable ICT Project.
"Skills, infrastructure and sustainability are either already significant concerns of IT management or emerging
concerns," says Computerworld editor Rob O'Neill. "For that reason we thought we would highlight activity in these areas
alongside other more longstanding award categories."
The 2008 programme includes three individual awards (ICT Educator of the Year, Young ICT Talent and CIO of the Year),
plus team awards in areas such as education, small business, health and government.
Each category is judged by an independent panel of three judges, with some of the country's most prominent IT and
business leaders involved, adding credibility to the achievement.
Entries are open now, with final submissions due by Friday 11 April.
