FileMaker 9 certification now available
Become a certified FileMaker Pro 9 expert and generate new business opportunities
Auckland, New Zealand – 13 February 2008 – FileMaker, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of certification
testing for the award-winning FileMaker 9 product line (go to http://www.filemaker.com.au/9cert_pr for test details).
FileMaker 9 Certification helps developers gain recognition as a database industry expert. In addition to receiving a
FileMaker 9 Certified Developer certificate, those who pass the test may use the FileMaker Certified Developer logo on
business cards and marketing collateral. Members of the FileMaker Business Alliance who receive certification are listed
as certified developers on the FileMaker website.
“The FileMaker 9 family offers many new features that make development times shorter and enable developers to add more
value to their FileMaker solutions,” FileMaker president Dominique Goupil said. “Becoming certified enables developers

Get on the road to certification with the FileMaker Training Series
Although there are no prerequisites for the Developer Essentials for FileMaker 9 certification exam, FileMaker
recommends that test candidates take the FileMaker Training Series, the most comprehensive self-paced training for
FileMaker 9. The FileMaker Training Series with full-colour manual and CD are available for $129AUD (Inc GST) at
https://store.filemaker.com.au/product/viewfamily/family/FMPT. The series includes 12 in-depth training modules, demo
files, exercises and videos. Trainer-led courses are available through FileMaker authorised trainers (see U.S. listings

In addition to the FileMaker Training Series, FileMaker offers a variety of educational resources, including its
upcoming FileMaker Developer Conference, 13 – 16 July 2008, at the J.W. Marriott Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Ariz. (www.filemaker.com.au/devcon/). The conference offers a number of sessions designed to help
prepare candidates for certification testing. The FileMaker Technical Network offers access to technical briefs and

FileMaker Pro 9 certification testing is available in English and Japanese only (Japanese certification testing
available in March 2008).
