Kiwi secures finalist position for Microsoft's global Connected Systems Developer competition
Biztalk Scheduled Task Adapter gains global recognition
Auckland, 15th November 2005 - Solution innovation is a key theme at Unisys New Zealand. This spirit is encapsulated in one of the Auckland-based architects, Greg Forsythe, who was recently recognised as one of the ‘top fifteen’ by Microsoft's global Connected Systems Developer competition this month.
With the traditional Kiwi trait of innovation, Greg entered the skill-based competition after writing a piece of software which adds scheduling functionality to Biztalk Server 2004/2006.
The competition judges recognised Greg’s software design as a piece of creative and programming excellence using SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and BizTalk 2004/2006.
“I congratulate Greg for recognising and meeting the needs of enterprise customers using BizTalk Server platform,” says Glenn Bittle, Northern Region Manager and Commercial Partner. “This software design demonstrates the depth of knowledge and skills at Unisys in these technologies.”
Greg now intends to share his software on an open-view website so that other people can benefit from his work.
About Biztalk Scheduled Task Adapter:
A Biztalk adapter for scheduling task execution based on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule requirements. The task returns a stream of data that is submitted to Biztalk for processing. Three tasks are supplied, a file reader, xml string and Http download.
Users can also build a custom task such as a .Net class that implements the required interface. Additionally three schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) components used by the adapter can be used separately, e.g. within an orchestration delay shape.
Greg Forsythe will host a BizTalk Server 2006 overview “Ask the Experts” session at the Unisys Connect stand at:
- Wellington on 16th November at 10am (stand six)
- Christchurch on 22nd November at 12.30pm (stand five)
- Auckland on 29th November at 12.30pm (stand three),
