WebSitePulse is First to Add Remote Monitoring Location in New Zealand
Orlando, FL - (January 31, 2005) - WebSitePulse, a leading provider of global, independent and remote monitoring of
web-based systems and e-business transactions, has become the first US company to set up a monitoring location in New
Zealand.
The company added the new location because its customers inside and outside of New Zealand wanted a monitoring station
there. Combined local and out-of-area monitoring gives users a more precise picture of their websites’ availability and
can provide location-specific information about their web systems’ overall performance as measured against established
service levels. The New Zealand station is part of the company’s strategy to provide local monitoring in regions
experiencing e-business and trade growth.
“We had a 761% increase in our New Zealand customer base in 2004, and they requested that we set up a station in their
country,” says WebSitePulse CEO Iavor Marinov. “We feel that New Zealand is a growing economic force and we want to help
New Zealand’s e-businesses tap into international markets as efficiently and reliably as possible,” he adds.
Nielsen Media Research agrees with that assessment. A major Nielsen study released in December 2004 concluded that New
Zealand is an “increasingly successful and confident nation eager to build its connections with the rest of world.”
According to latest available U.S. government figures, New Zealand is on the list of the top 50 U.S. Foreign Trade
partners.
To deliver monitoring in New Zealand, WebSitePulse has partnered with DigitalNetwork, Ltd., of Auckland. Marinov says
DigitalNetwork was selected because “they met our high standards.”
To keep ahead of the ever-expanding global nature of e-commerce and the growing number of non-U.S.-based e-businesses,
WebSitePulse plans to expand its worldwide monitoring network from 12 to 30 or more locations by the end of the year as
needed.
