Toshiba ISD Announces New Country Manager for New Zealand
Auckland, 26 November 2004: Toshiba (Australia) Pty. Limited, today announced the appointment of Callum Eade as New Zealand Country Manager of its Information Systems Division (ISD).
Callum, who has been Acting Country Manager since September, has been with Toshiba for 18 months as Channel Business Development Manager, NZ. During that time, he has played an integral role in Toshiba's success, managing Toshiba's channel business through Toshiba's sole distributor Tech Pacific and jointly managing Toshiba's direct reseller accounts throughout the upper North Island. These include Portables Plus, Able Business Machines , Fujitsu, Axon, Computerland, Gen-i, ATL, and The Laptop Company.
Callum has excellent knowledge of the New Zealand PC market and has made a significant contribution to the recent success of the Toshiba brand in New Zealand. He will be supported by a team that is well recognised for their superior sales ability and channel and customer focus.
Commenting on Callum's appointment, Mark Whittard, ANZ General Manager for Toshiba ISD said Callum had played a vital role in Toshiba's New Zealand business success in recent years. "Callum brings extensive product, sales and channel experience to the role with an enthusiasm and energy that I am sure will leave our competition gasping".
According to Callum, he was very excited about taking on an expanded role within Toshiba New Zealand. "The company continues to deliver outstanding products and initiatives. This is undoubtedly the era of Mobility and I'm very much looking forward to continuing to drive Toshiba's success in this market."
