MetService Makes it Two in a Row.
For the second year running MetService have taken out the Business to Consumer Category at the TUANZ (e)-vision Awards
The annual awards, held last night at Westpac St James Theatre in Wellington, recognise excellence and achievement in
New Zealand's interactive and media design industry.
Last year's winning entry from MetService came through their innovative work with Vodafone on a weather to mobile
application. This year's award was a shift from mobile to web, with recognition for their newly designed website
(www.metservice.co.nz). With much effort put into the design, with Wellington based Click Suite, and in-house
development of the site over the last year, it's a very satisfying result for MetService.
According to Craig Delany, MetService Marketing Manager, the organisation sees the web as an important channel going
forward.
"The web site is seen as an important channel in keeping the New Zealand public informed of severe weather warnings. For
those who require more detailed weather information than currently available, we have a planned second phase to
introduce pay-per-view services to complement the current site content." The industry acknowledgement adds to the
positive feedback MetService have been receiving for the redesigned website, particularly its presentation and
functionality.
"The new website has been so well received by visitors, and we've definitely seen our traffic to the site grow since the
launch," Delany said.
"Our main goal was to develop a useful resource that New Zealanders would find easy to use and worthy of a repeat visit.
Tonight's Award is icing on the cake."
