ihug Unveils bliink - Flat Rate Broadband
New Service Provides Faster, More Affordable Internet
ihug, is continuing its crusade to provide cheaper, faster internet service to Kiwis with the introduction of bliink, a
new broadband service for both residential and business customers across New Zealand.
Ihug’s bliink broadband service comes in two distinctly tailored packages – for both residential and business customers
- with 256kbps download / 128kbps upload speeds and monthly flat rate pricing options with no excess fees. bliink
customers can choose to bundle toll calls with their broadband service to provide even more savings. “The new service is
a direct result of Telecom’s wholesaling of ADSL, and gives us the freedom to develop a great value broadband package
that really suits the needs of our customers”, said ihug's General Manager, Guy Nelson.

fast, affordable internet service to all of our customers whilst providing additional benefits such as cheaper toll
calls and quality customer support. Fortunately for customers broadband will no longer be a national lottery. Now people

Residential users will have a choice of two bliink home packages: bliink Lite provides a 2GB quota of data per month for
$39.95*, or bliink 256 (20GB) for $49.95*. bliink business is also available as bliinkBiz 256 lite at $59.95 (2GB) and
bliinkBiz 256 (20GB) at $99.95 per month. bliink business customers can choose the easy-to-manage flat rate service or
opt for monthly excess charges should they need more flexibility. The home and business bliink packages will be

Ihug also plan to tailor the forthcoming 512kbps download /128kbps upload wholesale ADSL service for customers when it
is available in 2005.
To make the installation process as easy as possible for bliink users, ihug is providing competitive prices on a range
of hardware which can be delivered pre-configured, including a choice of three routers in wireless or wired
configuration, priced from $99.95.
Billing has become more easy to manage for both residential and business customers as all internet and toll call charges
will now appear on one monthly ihug bill.
As the new service takes off, ihug plans to migrate its 10,000 existing JetStream customers across to bliink by the end
of the year, to provide even more data and faster internet for a lower cost.
