Canterbury to Unveil Hi Tech Secrets At Inaugural Technology Showcase
Christchurch, New Zealand, 14-Sep-04: From 2-3 November Cantabrians and visitors alike can discover the world’s best kept technology secrets at ES Connectivity 04 - Christchurch’s first ever technology tradeshow.
This inaugural 2-day exhibition, which will be held at the Christchurch Convention Centre, will have on display some of the advanced technologies and services invented and created in our very own backyard.
The aim of the exhibition is to profile Canterbury’s finest technology capability and to facilitate opportunities for networking, trade partnerships, employment and education.
ES Connectivity 04 will allow those in the technology industry, media, investors, international business visitors, students and academic staff, and government to discover first hand some of our country’s best technology exports. New Zealand Trade & Enterprise and Electronics South are sponsoring the event.
A variety of technology companies large and small are confirmed to exhibit, including award-winning Christchurch firms Navman and Tyco Electronics. Others include innovative software developers and electronic design companies, such as The 3rd Dimension Limited that provides unique and advanced laser scanning technology for 3D CAD modelling.
James Saruchera, exhibition organiser and facilitator for Electronics South and Canterbury Software Inc, says ES Connectivity 04 is being promoted to organisations that actively trade in the electronics/software industry or key services to the industry.
He says, “ES Connectivity will benefit participants and attendees alike by enabling greater awareness of local capability, encouraging potential business opportunities, and providing valuable publicity and profile both locally and internationally."
The first day of the show will be open to trade delegates, government, investors and industry associations. The second day will be open to the public and will welcome students, teachers, employees and anyone interested in finding out more about some of the amazing technologies being developed right here in Canterbury.
Stands are disappearing fast with the registration deadline at 5pm on Friday 17 September. To help inexperienced exhibitors get the most out of the show exhibition organisers are offering free assistance and a preparatory workshop.
Further information and registration details can be found at www.esconnectivity.org.nz.
