Maxnet Offers 100% Spam Free Email Filtering Option
MAXNET, a leading second tier Internet Service Provider (ISP) is delighted with the customer response to its highly advanced virus and spam filtering product – MAIL GUARDIAN.
MAIL GUARDIAN allows customers to choose from and control online a wide range of filtering options including the 100% Spam free option.
‘We are delighted with the way in which New Zealanders have accepted the most advanced filtering product available’ says Brett Herkt, General Manager of Maxnet. ‘We reviewed our competitors’ offerings and realized that MAIL GUARDIAN offered a far higher degree of customer control including multiple delivery options, multiple spam threshold settings, white and black lists and a 100% spam free option.
‘For our virus filtering we use Sophos, the UK’s leading virus filtering provider that has won multiple industry awards. Sophos effectively protects Maxnet customers' within 2 hrs of a new virus being identified,’ says Mr Herkt.
MAIL GUARDIAN perfectly complements Maxnet’s existing internet filtering service, NET GUARDIAN, an advanced web-browsing filter that blocks access to web sites containing offensive material.
‘The combination of MAIL GUARDIAN and NET GUARDIAN provides our business, school and residential customers with the complete customizable internet protection package.’ says Mr. Herkt.
“We are also pleased that the nominal charge (90 cents per mailbox per month) has not inhibited our customers from using Mail Guardian. Whilst it is currently unique in New Zealand, ISPs in Australia already charge a considerable fee for virus and spam protection. Maxnet has invested heavily in providing the very best protection and it is gratifying to see our customers willing to pay a modest amount for an advanced service that ultimately saves them time and money”
