Peace Software to Unveil Peace(tm) 8
The First Off-the-Shelf CIS Product for Utilities
Peace Software will unveil Peace 8 - the utility industry's first commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Customer Information System (CIS) product - at the CIS 2004 Conference in Miami, 4-7 May. Peace 8 is at the forefront of the utility industry's evolution from custom-developed billing systems towards a true CIS software product. It supports utility best practice customer and revenue management for operational efficiency and growth in regulated and competitive markets.
"Peace, as a product-oriented software developer, is leading the way in the utility industry in terms of COTS CIS product development," said Ethan Cohen, Director, Utility and Energy Technology Practice, UtiliPoint International, Inc. "Peace clients share the same code base and upgrade easily to new product versions."
Peace 8 is scalable and flexible to support all business models and any size customer base. It provides a single platform for regulated and competitive utilities which can consolidate all customers, jurisdictions, markets and products on Peace 8. Its thin-client architecture lends itself naturally to outsourcing and distributed deployment.
"Peace 8 is our latest product release offering hundreds of great features," said Paul Grey, Chief Market Strategist, Peace Software. "It is the gold standard of COTS CIS with fast, low-cost implementation and ease of upgrade to keep pace with technology and market change."
Peace 8 components are customer acquisition, customer care, online self-service, complete billing, receivables and collections, market transactions and usage reconciliation.
Utilities using Peace benefit from a comprehensive packaged Peace 8 upgrade program to simplify the upgrade process. Customer shipments will occur later in 2004.
