Lucire announced as Official Internet Partner of Stockholm FashionDays
New Zealand’s global fashion magazine officially supports its second fashion week event
Wellington and Stockholm, January 26 (JY Media) New Zealand fashion magazine Lucire has been named Official Internet Partner of Sweden’s own fashion week, Stockholm FashionDays 2004.
It follows on from Lucire’s similar involvement with L’Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week (LNZFW), which spawned a successful “ebook” covering virtually every show. Lucire is also hosting an event at New York Fashion Week in early February.
The agreement will see Lucire promoting Stockholm FashionDays primarily through its web site, with advertising and editorial. The event will also appear in Lucire’s print edition, slated for a global fourth-quarter release.
Jack Yan, publisher of Lucire, said, ‘We support New Zealand fashion as passionately as always—that will never change.
‘We see ourselves as a global brand based in New Zealand. By going global with our fashion-week partnerships and sponsorships, we intend to become a platform to help raise awareness of this country.
‘Sweden is close to New Zealand in terms of thinking, while our involvement with Stockholm FashionDays comes from our long-time association with the country.
‘It will additionally be a great vehicle through which we can launch our print edition.’
Henric Zethelius of Stockholm FashionDays said, ‘It’s a pleasure to have Lucire on board as one of our event partners. We hope that its involvement will bring a greater international awareness to our event.’
Editorial features include travel and shopping specials about Stockholm, along with catwalk reports and designer profiles. These will run throughout the year.
The web site is committed to featuring advertising for the event with banner advertising between January and mid-August—none of which will conflict with any potential work that Lucire may do with LNZFW.
Lucire has been on the web since 1997 and is expected to extend into print this year. It has an audience of 40,000–70,000 readers weekly.
The web site has a high per-capita readership in Scandinavian countries, although 44 per cent of its readers still originate from the United States.
Stockholm FashionDays is part of the S13project arranged by Sydväxt and administrated by Helgöstam & Zethelius. Other event partners include Nordic Light Hotel, Stockholm Visitors’ Board and Pressbild.com.
