Sockeye and HP to Implement Collaboration Framework and Service Parts Collaboration Application for Chinese Customer
Sockeye Solutions Corporation, the leading developer of Adaptive Supply Chain Collaboration Applications, and HP China's (NYSE: HPQ) Customer Service Organization have announced an agreement to configure and deploy Sockeye Solutions' Service Parts Collaboration Template to a customer in China in the networking and communications space.
"HP has a long history of providing the best technologies to its customers worldwide," said Halin Cheng, Solution Principal, China Hewlett-Packard Co., Ltd. "Through the alliance with Sockeye Solutions, HP will be implementing proven collaborative supply chain technology to a key customer in China. HP and Sockeye Solutions will help this organization serve its customers and maintain its competitive position through the deployment of an adaptive service parts supply chain."
"It is critical to enhance value at every step of the supply chain and be able to react in real time to changes within the entire supply network, including reverse logistics and service parts management," said Brian Nickerson, President and CEO, Sockeye Solutions. "Sockeye Solutions is pleased to add to our customer base and to continue the close working partnership with HP on such an important initiative. This project is a natural extension of the success derived from other HP/Sockeye Solutions initiatives such as HP's KeyChain."
Sockeye Solutions' unique architecture allows business users to easily configure templates such as the Service Parts Collaboration Application to the execution requirements of their organization. The application handles the complete lifecycle associated with managing service parts orders, real time inventory management and availability, the reverse flow of product, planning as well as capturing and modifying the related business processes.
Sockeye's Service Parts Collaboration 3.0 offers a comprehensive environment for optimizing the parts requirements of customers or field service engineers. Customer service personnel or field engineers can enter orders through a secure web interface that offers anywhere, anytime data entry or dynamically via existing systems and call centers. Fulfillment (ATP) of parts availability is immediately provided based on preferred sourcing rules. The workflow then continues through allocation to shipment and the returned defective goods (RMA). Service parts collaboration maintains optimal inventory levels at all supply chain locations according to user-definable business rules and inventory targets. It manages service part forecasts through user- defined algorithms and combines these with actual service order demands to plan for part replenishments, fulfillment and transfers. ervice levels are maximized at a manageable cost. Throughout the solution, alerts are used to notify users of pending activities, and software agents provide advanced business logic, connectivity and workflow automation. The organization can be confident with the real time allocation and commitment to their customers. Templates for Supply Chain Success Sockeye Application Templates represent supply chain best practices configured with unique customer-driven business processes. The result is an application that is deployed over the Internet external to the traditional enterprise model and can adapt as requirements evolve. The template is configured by business users and is deployed quickly using Sockeye's Collaborative Application Framework (CAF) in order to capture the competitive advantage of the customer's supply chain. Customers then configure the temp ness relationships. This configuration can be easily perform! ed by business users -- as opposed to expensive customization -- and can adapt as a company's supply chain and business partners evolve. The result is a unique application, deployed quickly that captures the competitive advantage of the customer's supply chain.
