Life sciences industry mourns loss
The whole of the New Zealand science and biotechnology communities will be deeply shocked today following the tragic accident at Christchurch which took the lives of seven senior Crop & Food Research Institute staff, the Chairman of the Life Sciences Network said in a joint statement with the Network’s Executive Director today.
“The Crop and Food management and science teams have been at the very forefront of the biotechnology developments which our future is based on.
“We grieve for their families, for their colleagues, and for New Zealand science,” said Dr William Rolleston, Chairman, and Francis Wevers, Executive Director.
