HR Company Creates Web Based Technology to Save Time and Money
Resource Edge, a Human Resources Company based in Auckland, has developed a Web based Appraisal Management System which
automates the performance management process. The system, called Ultimate Aims, has proven to be so popular that
Resource Edge is releasing it for the New Zealand and international market. Management and administration time spent on
the preparation of employee performance appraisals can be reduced from the typical 1½ days to ½ an hour per appraisal.
“Using Ultimate Aims gives the CEO an automatic gauge of the mood of their organisation”, says Linda Peters (Managing
Director of Resource Edge). “With the current shortage of skilled labour, Ultimate Aims ensures that all employees are
performing to the best of their ability. From an organisational point of view there is lower staff turnover because
employee concerns are addressed early in an open environment.”
Ultimate Aims was initially developed as a manual appraisal management system. Then Linda saw the potential for
migrating it to the Web. The manual system, while popular, was labour intensive and costly-particularly in a distributed
office environment. With the system now Web based, access via the URL (www.ultimateaims.com) means authorised people can
complete the appraisal process from their home or office.
With the new amendments to the Health and Safety in Employment Act, which relate to stress in the work place. Ultimate
Aims is the ideal piece of software for employers to understand and manage levels of stress. Everything is documented
therefore employers can be confident of reducing levels of stress throughout the organisation.
Resource Edge is now promoting Ultimate Aims both here and internationally and already has a number of satisfied
customers. The company can be reached by calling Michael Beaumont on (09) 529 7480 or 021 404514.
