Coles Myers, Caltex and other Leading
Australian Retailers Choose Cadmus
Dial Time Pty Ltd orders new Cadmus EFTPOS terminal
Cadmus Technology Limited (NZSE: CTL) has supplied terminals to one of its major Australian customers, which will result
in its new AC4500 G EFTPOS terminals installed in leading outlets, including major Australian corporates, Coles Myers
and Caltex Australia.
The order is worth $2.4million, and is in addition to a $4million Australian order announced by Cadmus in May.
The new Cadmus AC4500 G terminals have been marketed by Dial Time Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Australian Pure
Fruit Limited, and will allow retailers to provide mobile phone top-up services for their customers from a touch screen
terminal and other potential multiple payment applications. Using Cadmus EFTPOS toolset, Dial Time’s development team
has customised the terminal software to include mobile phone top-up functionality.
The prepaid electronic EFTPOS terminals will also be available in BP / UCB Service Stations, Kmart, Target, Myer,
Dimmey’s, MobileTronics, various armed force’s sites and a significant number of other retail outlets across Australia.
“The demand has been driven by the growth of prepaid electronic transactions in telephony, prepaid internet, prepaid
ticket and voucher purchases,” says Hal Christiansen, Managing Director, Dial Time Pty Ltd. “And based on an extensive
review of all available EFTPOS terminals in the market, we chose Cadmus as it met all the relevant specifications,
allows multiple payment applications, including mobile phone top-up functionality.”
“We are delighted that Dial Time has won this order to supply our New Zealand designed and built terminals to leading
Australian corporates,” says Pat McCammon, Cadmus’ General Manager, International Sales and Marketing.
“New Zealand is at the leading edge of payment solutions technologies. It is a credit to our R team that we have been able to design and manufacture an advanced EFTPOS terminal, which provides our Company with a
superior product for retailers and merchants, especially for the fast growing Asia Pacific region.
It is also pleasing that Dial Time and its customers see the benefit of the Cadmus EFTPOS products over other competing
offerings.”
The Cadmus AC4500 G is a multipurpose terminal. It can accept all debit and credit payments and offers significantly
increased functionality over other more traditional EFTPOS terminals. Combined with the new Cadmus CP02SCR, it can also
be further enhanced to provide full smart card capability including the new EMV standards being introduced in many
countries.
The terminal is enabled with built-in Internet connectivity allowing for fast loading of programs and other value added
services including advertising, promotions and email. The base model can further enhanced and customised to support a
range of loyalty programmes to suit individual businesses’ needs.
