Hat Trick For Xtra At Pc World Awards
Xtra has been voted New Zealand's best Internet Service Provider and Best Service and Support provider (ISP) for the third year in a row at Friday night's PC World Readers' Choice Awards.
The company also received the award for Best Web site/Portal.
Xtra's General Manager Rod Snodgrass said that winning the Best ISP and Service and Support awards for the third time is especially rewarding because Net users vote for the awards.
"Xtra has continued to invest to ensure our business and residential customers are enjoying the highest possible levels of service and support. The award also reflects other innovations that we've introduced during the last year, especially the Xtra anti-virus email filter and email alerts to your mobile."
Snodgrass said that the company is constantly looking to add value to their service to improve customer's online experiences and that the response from customers to the addition of services such as the Anti-virus email filter has been overwhelmingly positive.
"We're also delighted XtraMSN is the Web site of choice for New Zealanders, the site continues to grow and has now reached the milestone of over 600,000 unique visitors in a week. These audience levels have recently been confirmed by the new industry Red Sheriff Internet ratings."
Other winners at Friday night's ceremony included Telecom New Zealand for Best Broadband Service (JetStream), Microsoft for Best Game (Flight Sim) and Pegasus Mail creator, David Harris who won Best NZ Software and was also awarded a Lifetime achievement award.
