Macromedia delivers Macromedia eLearning Centre through partnership with Skillsoft
Courseware enables users to quickly get up to speed using products in Macromedia Studio MX
AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Macromedia, Inc. (Nasdaq: MACR) announced the availability of Macromedia eLearning Centre. The subscription-based, interactive online training site for Macromedia Studio MX products was developed through a partnership with SkillSoft (Nasdaq: SKIL), a leading provider of e-learning courseware and Referenceware for IT and business professionals. Macromedia eLearning Centre provides course libraries for Macromedia Flash MX, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Macromedia Fireworks MX, Macromedia ColdFusion MX, and Macromedia FreeHand 10 as well as a Solutions Library that covers all of these products. Macromedia eLearning Centre courses are sold as product libraries using an annual subscription model, with specific libraries for Macromedia Flash MX (which also includes Macromedia FreeHand 10 courses), Macromedia Dreamweaver MX (includes Macromedia Fireworks MX courses), Macromedia ColdFusion MX, and a Macromedia Solution Library, which includes all Macromedia product libraries and courses on other related web technologies. Students can access courses while connected to the Internet using a standard web browser or download courses for offline use. The courses, designed to teach best practices, are mapped to Macromedia certification objectives and correspond to material presented in Macromedia-authorised, instructor-led classes. New courses will appear in the libraries or will be added to the libraries throughout the year as part of the subscription.

Macromedia Flash MX Library, with more than 45 hours of online training (including FreeHand), is priced at US$249. Macromedia Dreamweaver MX Library, with more than 75 hours of online training (including Fireworks MX), is priced at US$249. Macromedia ColdFusion MX Library, with more than 65 hours of online training, is priced at US$399. Macromedia Solutions Library, which includes all Macromedia Studio MX courses with more than 165 hours of training, is priced at US$599.
