PeopleSoft First to Deliver Global Solution for Staffing Industry
Staffing Firms Leverage Pure Internet
Solution to Manage Fast Growing Market
PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT) today announced PeopleSoft for Staffing, the only solution to enable integration of front- and back-office operations so staffing firms can manage available resources and quickly match appropriately skilled people with the right job. In addition, the solution enables companies to streamline the pay-to-bill process by seamlessly linking time entry to payroll and invoicing. As a result, companies of all sizes can quickly fulfil staffing requests, grow client relationships and streamline global operations.
“Staffing firms are challenged by increased competition for skilled labour, the industry’s shift towards volume contracts and supporting multi-national clients,” said Jim Holincheck, research director of Human Resource Management Applications at Gartner, Inc. “Now more than ever, scalable solutions that integrate the front and back office are required to manage labour supply and customer demand, reduce days sales outstanding and drive revenue.”
Many staffing firms operate with either manual paper-based processes or inadequate homegrown systems. PeopleSoft provides the only integrated solution for managing clients, employees, job orders, payroll and billing within a single, centralised data source. PeopleSoft for Staffing supports multiple currencies, languages, global payroll and billing functions. As a result, global staffing companies can align and measure key business processes such as increasing the number of job orders filled and decreasing days sales outstanding.
On Assignment Inc. (Nasdaq: ASGN) is a leading global provider of temporary healthcare and scientific professionals with $265 million in annual revenues and 171 offices worldwide. Over the past decade, the company has grown quickly through a combination of geographic expansion and corporate acquisitions, but continued to use multiple acquired and homegrown IT systems.
“Our legacy systems were starting to get in the way of our ability to effectively analyse and execute the business,” said Joe Peterson, M.D., president and CEO of On Assignment. “We selected PeopleSoft because of the unprecedented time and energy the company spent focusing on our industry. PeopleSoft’s industry-specific functionality, robust tool set, and integration between the front-and back-office will provide us with a strong foundation to execute on our plans for expansion.”
Other leading worldwide staffing companies including Staffmark, Spherion, Randstad, and KPMG Interim have selected PeopleSoft solutions to reduce costs and increase efficiencies. In addition, six of the top ten staffing companies in the world rely on PeopleSoft solutions.
“In ANZ, and South Asia, we are dealing with mature markets that require a staffing services solution that provides real visibility of key business processes as well as an ability to assess ongoing staffing requirements,” said Marc Dalmulder, HRMS Product Strategy Manager Asia Pacific, PeopleSoft. “In this region, we find that customers are spending more than 50 percent of their expenditure on services, leading to increased competition in the staffing services industry. PeopleSoft Staffing is the only solution that enables staffing firms to better manage their resources, extend client relationships and streamline operations with a single solution.”
The PeopleSoft for Staffing solution is currently available.
