Sybrel launches with CyberElves and Microsoft-based capabilities targeting NZ's largest companies
Sybrel appointed NZ reseller for Onyx Enterprise CRM and Plumtree Portal offerings
AUCKLAND, 2 September 2002 - Sybrel, a new company which specialises in Microsoft-based solutions and services, has been launched today by owners SGB Investments Ltd. The new firm, which employs ten personnel from offices in Auckland and Wellington, is the result of major realignments within the SGB group of companies. This includes the repositioning of the group's core Microsoft-based capabilities, formerly part of Certus Consulting, into Sybrel, allowing Certus to consolidate its market leading position as an IBM technology specialist.
With the realignment, Sybrel becomes the New Zealand reseller of Onyx Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Plumtree Portal solutions, which are both based on Microsoft operating systems. To augment its core Microsoft capabilities, Sybrel has also acquired the assets, intellectual property, clients, personnel and rights associated with CyberElves in New Zealand and Asia Pacific.
According to Sybrel's newly appointed Managing Director, Peter Radich, the company's extensive Microsoft capabilities are strengthened by the infrastructure and depth of experience provided by the Auckland-based CyberElves team. "Sybrel is a Certified Microsoft Business Partner which, combined with the technical expertise of CyberElves, creates a rich portfolio of solutions and a strong services team to consolidate our position in the top-tier corporate market," he says.
"We will continue to implement solutions for New Zealand's largest companies so that they can manage and deliver vital information quickly, easily and accurately to anyone, anywhere, anytime on any device."
Steven Graham, Southern Regional Manager of Microsoft New Zealand, says that the combination of international and New Zealand-based skills, together with the Microsoft Business Partner status greatly enhance Sybrel's ability to deliver sophisticated solutions to New Zealand's largest companies. "CyberElves has developed solid Microsoft solutions for New Zealand customers," he said. "Microsoft is confident that the team at Sybrel will continue to deploy innovative solutions that meet the needs of New Zealand businesses into the future."
Sybrel secures CyberElves Auckland operation
"CyberElves Incorporated has sold to Sybrel the Asia Pacific trading rights to the CyberElves brand, along with our Auckland-based operation, in order to focus on our growing North American client base," explains the Managing Director of New York-based CyberElves Inc, Philip Carden. "However the relationship between the two companies will continue as Sybrel implements online projects for our international clients."
CyberElves Inc. specialises in the development of complex web sites and e-commerce portals around the world, with particular emphasis on back-end technologies and systems integration. The company makes use of remote development methodologies to complete international projects ahead of time. CyberElves was established in 2000 to exploit the time differences between New Zealand and offshore markets, leveraging its ability to work through the North American and European nights to reduce project timeframes.
