Top ranking Internet content provider NZCity has completed its purchase and revamp of the popular Internet dating site
NZDating.
Internet ranking company Hitwise has consistently ranked NZDating in the top 10 New Zealand websites in terms of visits
this year and alongside NZCity and SearchNZ it cements NZCity's position as one of New Zealand's top content providers
"With over 80,000 registrations so far NZDating is a significant addition to the 250,000 kiwis already using NZCity
websites every month" says NZCity manager Chris Woodrow.
NZCity has been developing its own websites since 1995 and developed the new NZDating website in-house, bringing the
technology inline with its other websites.
In addition to the features on the old site, NZDating now offers a number of new safety and community features - the
most popular being the new message board facility.
"Running the old NZDating website for the past six months has enabled our staff to understand issues our members were
having on the site and we incorporated this understanding into the core architecture of the new site" said Mr Woodrow
"The new system provides a great deal of design flexibility, and already this week we have reacted to many positive
suggestions"
NZDating has always been a free website and now offers more features than most pay sites.
In response to many members who have asked if the vastly improved site will become a pay only service, Mr Woodrow
replies "All existing popular site features will remain free. For our more serious dating members we plan to release
optional enhanced features and tools for a small charge."
The future looks bright for NZDating as it continues to use the resource of the NZCity team to hold its position as one
of New Zealand's most popular websites.
