Cadmus Provides New EFTPOS Terminals for Housing NZ
Payment solution and data management services provider, Cadmus Technology (NZSE:CTL) today announced it has signed an
agreement with Housing New Zealand Corporation to provide locally developed new generation payment technology.
The New Zealand designed and built terminals will enable Housing New Zealand to offer tenants nationwide electronic
rental reconciliation of rental payments, via the EFTPOS system.
The transactional processing service has been built and implemented by Cadmus Technology Ltd through an interface with
its new Cadmus AC4500 EFTPOS terminals.
The AC4500 EFTPOS terminal will capture transactional information, deliver it to a Cadmus host system where it will then
be processed and delivered to Housing New Zealand in an easy to process format.
It is anticipated that there will be a reduction in the amount of manual business processes for Housing New Zealand as a
result.
The Cadmus AC4500 is a multipurpose EFTPOS terminal with Internet connectivity and the ability to provide full smart
card capability. The terminal also has the capability to provide e-mail and/or messaging which can be remotely delivered
to the terminal display or a printer screen. All software can be remotely loaded using the Cadmus remote terminal
management system.
Ian Bailey, Managing Director of Cadmus Technology Ltd, says “the main objective was to provide a cost-effective and
improved rental payment solution for Housing New Zealand.”
“The Cadmus terminals will provide an effective way of monitoring information received through our offices and reduce
the amount of time spent reconciling these transactions,” says Ranjit Sinnaduray, Financial Services Manager for Housing
New Zealand Corporation.
This deal follows Cadmus’ recent announcement that it has secured an exclusive heads of agreement to supply Cadmus
EFTPOS terminals and pinpads to Bartercard Australia Pty Ltd’s growing base of over 20,000 merchants across Australia.
