New Christchurch Company Successfully Fills Niche For Busy People
A local company offering a unique information service has been amazed at the response from the public since it began operating seven weeks ago.
4carfind was launched after four months of research showed that increasingly busy lives don’t leave enough time for people to find a vehicle of the make, model, year and even colour they may be looking for.
General Manager, Peter Richards, says his company is filling an important niche.
“The phones haven’t stopped ringing and the Website is extremely busy. The support and from local car yards has also been excellent”, he says.
4carfind is the only service of its kind in New Zealand as it offers a phone and Website service, www.4carfind.co.nz, to locate vehicles according to customers’ specifications and budget.
Peter Richards says that buying a car is a big decision for most people and usually requires a considerable outlay, financially and time-wise. He believes the success of the service is a combination of the time it saves and cost effectiveness for the customer. It is free to use the Website to find a vehicle, and the 0900 phone call costs less than a hamburger and chips.
“If people call 0900 4carfind (0900 422 734), they only have to ring us once with the details of what they are looking for, we take it from there. Finding your dream car for about $5, what could be easier?” says Mr. Richards.
“Looking for a car can take a lot of time and energy and most of us don’t have much of either these days. We make it easy for you, if the car you want is out there, we’ll find it. If a match cannot be found, the buyers details are recorded, and we endeavour to find the appropriate car, as soon as possible, usually within a fortnight of the first contact,” Peter Richards says.
The specially tailored Website database holds details of thousands of cars for sale in yards around Christchurch, and is updated weekly.
“The website is one of the most sophisticated but user friendly sites of its kind. We placed a strong emphasis on the design and operation of the Website so that it provides a free, easy to use service offering a regularly updated and quick database. But it is important that people who don’t have access to a computer or who are more comfortable dealing with a human voice on the phone, have that option,” says Peter Richards.
4carfind plans to extend its services to include cars available around the South Island, and eventually New Zealand wide.
