Da Vinci Communications Test Solution Puts Bite Into Bluetooth Development
Products based on the emerging Bluetooth™ standard for wireless communication could be launched more quickly with a flexible new test solution from Christchurch company Da Vinci Communications (www.davinci-communications.com).
Da Vinci Communications has released a solution that allows Bluetooth developers to test their products in real time over a local area network using the TTCN test notation.
The rigorous tests are measured against the requirements of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). This group develops the preferred specifications for connecting mobile products, and administers a qualification program that ensures interoperability between Bluetooth devices. Verification as specified by the SIG is essential for the release of Bluetooth developments.
A new Bluetooth wireless product is released each day and the standard is tipped to revolutionise the wireless market.
Written in Java™ and completely cross-platform compatible, the Da Vinci Communications’ Leonardo Synergy Solution combines the ROHDE & SCHWARZ PTW60 protocol tester and Da Vinci Communications’ Leonardo Editor Pro into one integrated development environment.
“Telecommunications test engineers and test laboratories using TTCN to test Bluetooth products will be able to test the conformance of their product to the Bluetooth SIG standards more efficiently,” says Da Vinci Communications Commercial Director Kathrin Kiefer. “Our development makes it easier for developers to create products that conform to international standards and get products to market quickly using TTCN, which is proving to be a flexible, consistent standard to measure new products by.”
