Waitemata District Health Board chooses SeeBeyond to enable seamless evolution of their information systems

11 December 2002 - SeeBeyond, a leading global provider of eBusiness Integration (eBI) solutions, today announced that Waitemata District Health Board has selected its e*Gate product to optimise the flow of information between its clinical systems and to assist in improving the provision of medical services to more than 445,000 New Zealanders.

A recent example saw us build some new interfaces in matter of days compared to weeks or months using other technologies"
SeeBeyond will provide a complete integration layer for the Waitemata District Health Board, initially involving the migration of core systems such as Patient Management, Laboratory and Radiology onto new technology. Ultimately, SeeBeyond gives Waitemata DHB the flexibility to develop technologies including a portal for external providers and the electronic transfer of information to other related organisations.

Mr Powell said Waitemata District Health Board had already been using SeeBeyond's e*gate solution, however, to facilitate the evolution to regional standards, an across-the-board upgrade to the latest version 4.5 will be implemented.
