Leading Edge Wireless Games Now Available From Telecom Mobile
Telecom Mobile is bringing more entertainment to its customers by providing a suite of leading edge wireless games on its 027 mobile phones.
Telecom Mobile is the first New Zealand carrier to have signed licensing agreement with Air Game Wireless, a Canadian company that is a leading edge creator of wireless interactive fun.
Air Games are offered exclusively to Telecom Mobile customers with WAP-enabled handsets (operating on the 027 network). Telecom Mobile customers can now compete in interactive games playing head to head with other mobile phone users around the world.
AtomicDove thrusts users into a futuristic universe, where they are tasked with forming clans, building their empires, and orchestrating their ascent to the top of the galactic rankings. To win players must effectively manage their diplomatic, domestic, financial, and military affairs.
The advanced wireless game engine provides an extremely high level of interactivity through an integrated messaging system. It also has a unified global ranking system that casts mobile phone players from across the world into direct combat, and diplomatic intrigue.
There's also ChUcHi, a loveable virtual pet; Air Casino - a play-for-fun mobile casino (Blackjack, Red Dog, Battle Royal and Slots); Air Quickies - short, quick bursts of wireless entertainment, including Hangman, ABBA puzzle, Russian Shooter; and Air Books - a compilation of short stories, horoscopes and interactive adventures.
“The global success of AtomicDove is demonstrative of the product’s ability to engage, and inspire end-user wireless consumption,” says Air Games Managing Director Frederick Ghahramani.
“We’re very excited that Telecom Mobile has chosen to bring AtomicDove to New Zealand, and we look forward to building on the success of this product in the New Zealand market through partnering with Telecom Mobile,” he said.
“Wireless games are extremely popular with our customers, and our leadership in this space offers them the chance to enjoy some of the world ’ s most innovative mobile games. The most compelling element to this offering is that people can pitch their skills against players from across New Zealand as well as around the world,” said Nic Holdgate, Manager, Wireless Data Group, Telecom Mobile.
“High-end wireless games like AtomicDove are great examples of the premium online content Telecom Mobile has attracted since the launch of its djuiceTM wireless Internet services,” he says.
Telecom Mobile is also catering for its customers without WAP capability, with the launch of a number of SMS games in the near future. These will be available to all customers with handsets capable of sending text messages.
djuiceTM, Telecom Mobile's wireless internet portal offers an extensive range of compelling, fun wireless services which are available via its Wireless Games and WapZig suites, both found on the djuiceTM (www.djuice.co.nz) menu under ‘Games ’. Telecom Mobile will introduce additional innovative games on an ongoing basis.
