Biosecurity Under The Spot Light

Published: Wed 14 Mar 2001 02:08 PM
Rural portal RD1.COM is providing resources for farmers wishing to learn more about biosecurity issues as the country responds to Europe’s Foot and Mouth outbreak.
The Programme Coordinator for Exotic Disease Response at MAF’s Biosecurity Authority Matthew Stone will host an Internet chat session on RD1.COM at 1.30 pm tomorrow, Thursday, March 15, 2001.
Farmers will have an opportunity to question Mr Stone about NZ’s biosecurity measures and risk and prevention issues associated with Foot and Mouth and other potential threats.
The site is also directing farmers to useful links and research on biosecurity issues, for those wanting to stay abreast of the UK situation.
